Voting By Mail

A reminder that eligible residents who wish to vote in the October 17 civic election have the option of voting by mail ballot instead of voting in person. Applications to vote by mail can be obtained from the Legislative Services Department at City Hall, by email at elections@nanaimo.ca or by downloading the Application to Vote By Mail form from the City's website. A mail ballot must be received by the Chief Election Officer before close of voting (8pm) on October 17 in order to be counted.

Ballots may be mailed or hand-delivered to City Hall. Most people choose to vote in person either on election day or on advance voting days, but the mail-in option is handy for those who may be out of town on those dates. However you do it, please take the time to vote!
