First Regular Council Meeting

The incoming Nanaimo City Council held its first regular meeting on the evening of Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Shaw Auditorium in VICC. As is usual, the meeting was televised by Shaw Cable. Among the items on the agenda was a presentation on the City's Snow and Ice Preparedness planning, approval for LED menu board signs at local MacDonald's restaurants, and several development variance permit applications. The meeting can now be viewed on the City website. Since that first meeting, Council has been receiving orientation and preliminary information related to upcoming budget discussions.
