Service Awards

On Tuesday, October 3, the City of Nanaimo hosted a Service Awards dinner to recognized employees with years of service. A buffet dinner was served at the Conference Centre, followed by acknowledgement of City workers with 5,10,15, 20, 25, and 30 years of employment as of 2022 and 2023. John Van Horne did an excellent job of emceeing the event, which moved along quickly and with good humour. Of special note were two employee who in 2022 marked 35 years with the City: Angela Mowall and Cheryl Kuczerski. My thanks to all of our dedicated City staff. We are truly fortunate to have a large crew of loyal and hard-working employees who do their best in their respective fields to serve our citizens.
